The iPhone 4's signal niggle is NOT a major issue in terms of the handset's day-to-day operation.
We haven't experienced any dropped calls as a result of the aerial placement, although we have had to shift our hands a fraction while holding it & browsing the web - it's nothing a free bumper case won't fix entirely.
Negative reactions to the iPhone 4's aerial are due to long-simmering resentment of Apple's pompous & cult-like corporate persona.
But it's time to move on.......................
